Sierra Leone
In spite of its righ natural resources, Sierra Leone, by most accounts, is the poorest country in the world. It struggles to recover from one of the most brutal civil wars in human history. Traditional occult religions flourish alongside predominately Muslim beliefs. You can feel the texture of this culture, the oppression of institutionalized cult involvement, the pervasive poverty, and the hope that shines in the midst of it all. A hope that comes from our Living Hope, with power we don't experience in the West...a power that says this is not the way God created us to live, and points to a better way. We are part of that better way, and it's having an impact in Sierra Leone West Africa!
