Sub-Saharan Africa harbors more than 34 million orphans! Estimates suggest that 11 million are AIDS orphans. An entire generation, people between15 and 40 years of age, is being wiped out by HIV/AIDS.

50% of the Namibian population is under the age of 14. Hope's Promise Orphan Ministries Namibia cares for fatherless and orphaned children through a family foster care model, which places no more than five children in a home. We are a registered child welfare organization in Namibia that aids the existing social services structure and practices in Namibia by recruiting, assessing, and training qualified Christian family foster care parent(s). This ministry supports the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual needs of the children, at developmentally appropriate levels, through prayer, trained personnel and community referrals.

Beads of Promise

Self sufficiency is a core value of our orphan care ministries...this means that each country coordinator commits to helping the local ministry become 50-100% self sufficient within five years of its inception. Beads of Promise is the self sufficiency business of Hope's Promise Orphan Ministries Namibia. Crafters are hired, trained and paid to make high quality, local crafts that are sold in both Namibia and the United States. In addition to providing jobs and job training, the venture produces a profit that helps support the children from within their culture.
